Today was another great day at the US Olympic Training Center! This blog will be split into three sections: the morning, afternoon, and evening sessions.

Morning Session: during the morning session we started the same as always, with our dynamic warmup. After that we played six on six until one team reached 5. After that we split up onto three courts by positions. Since I am an outside/right side hitter I went with the outsides/right sides. On that court we did serve receive and serving then we got into a pass, set, and cover drill. After that, the group joined together again and we played six on six. We ended the session with a cool down. Then we went to lunch in the cafeteria and rested up for the afternoon session.

Afternoon Session: To start the afternoon session we, again, start with our dynamic warmup. After warmups, we went right into six on six. We played  on two different courts for quite some time but, as always, it was a blast!! We soon did some serve receive and ended like we always do, with a cool down. This time our cool down was doing an Indian run (the run was more like a jog).

Evening Session: The evening session was one of the most competitive sessions yet. Everyone was working hard and hustling for every ball. It was awesome!! :) we played six on six but only the outside could score any points. It was really good because it showed the coaches who was going to still try and get a kill even when they were tired. The coaches split us up into three teams and then we all competed against one another. The team that was off was doing serve receive and hitting outside and middle.

All in all the sessions today were great! I am even more excited to compete tomorrow. Since tomorrow is our last full day, we really need to pull out all the stops and compete for a spot on the Girls Youth National Team.
